Who’s Your Chef?

What’s two plus two? It’s whatever you want it to be. It can be three, if you like. Or fifteen, if you want a higher number. In fact, it can be pizza if you really want it to!

Doesn’t make much sense, does it? Well, neither does “The way to heaven is whatever you want it to be. You can have your beliefs, and I can have mine.”
Two plus two only has one answer: four. There is only one way to heaven: Jesus.

He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me scatters. (Matthew 12:30 NIV)

I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. (John 14:16 NIV)

If you’re in a hallway with several different doors, you won’t end up in the room you want to be in no matter what door you use. To get in, there’s only one door you can use.
In the hallway of life, there are only two doors: with God, and against God. You’re either with Him or against Him. One door is broad, and fancy, while the other is an old narrow wooden door. Take a guess which is the right one. Yes, it’s the one that isn’t appealing. Christianity isn’t always the most appealing choice. Sometimes you’ll get persecuted for being a Christian.

You can’t serve God and money. But you tell me you don’t serve money. Would you not tell someone about Jesus if you could get a raise? Would you work on Sunday for extra money? Do you give less because you “don’t have enough money”?

You can’t serve God and money. You’re heart’s a kitchen, and there’s only room for one chef. Who will that be?
